It was the finals of “Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew” season 4; the cut throat competition has left behind two hopeful groups “AfroBorike” and all girls “We Are Heroes”. ABDC Finale marked the conquest of all girl crew “We Are Heroes”. During the ups and downs of the competition both the groups had been rescued by judge’s vote from elimination. The format of the show is a familiar one; the dance crews have to receive votes from the viewers watching the show all over America on their television sets, by performing on stage, performers have to work their hearts out to get votes. Groups having the minimum votes have to do something extra to get the approval of judges to stay.
Few years back it was not the case, group with minimum votes have to leave the show with heavy heart, but rules have been changed couple of seasons back. It is astonishing on one level and encouraging to witness how the film “You Got Served” changed the dance scene across the nation. It’s the last dance in the movie that has inspired the revolution in which the dancers perform so well that the viewers are taken by storm. MTV having the hint from the movie embarked on the all new show, “So You Think You Can Dance”. The show proved to be a precursor of “Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew”.
“We Are Heroes” consists of multi-ethnic group members. Hero and Mami were Japanese; Riquel and Ali were from New York area. But the crew members moved to LA to pursue their career.
