Remember the gal “Charlie Wheeler” from the series Friends who first fell for Joey and then became interested in Ross? Well, the same gal Aisha Tyler would be appearing as host of her own show “The Aisha Tyler Show” on ABC. She is known for her comedy skills and has appeared in series like “CSI” and “Ghost Whisperers”. The “Aisha Tyler Show’s” format would be like late hours shows incorporating element of comedy, politics and other current news.
Aisha has been married to Jeff Tietjen since 1992. Jeff Tietjen is a law professional. Both Aisha and Jeff share their passion for beer and brew the drink at home. She supported Obama in his presidential campaign and appeared in a video called “Yes We Can”.
As much as she is successful today, she has been through the rough waters. Her parents separated and she was brought up by her father. She developed interest in comedy while she was still in school.
Although she is going to host her own show for the first time, being a host is not new to Aisha as she had been a host for some shows previously.
Definitely she is multi talented and has written and directed a short movie titled ” The Whisperer”. In the Nip Tuck series her role gained wide acclaim as she explained female genital mutilation practice.
For all the guys there, Aisha Tyler has appeared NUDE in Allure’s May 2006 issue. BUT reportedly that was to support the campaign against melanoma.
