A star player of the Georgia Bulldogs, A.J. Green has been suspended by the NCAA. His suspension will last for 4 games and he was given this punishment for selling a jersey to someone who qualifies as an agent. He sold the jersey he had from the previous season’s Independence Bowl. A.J. Green was not playing in the game against Lafayette and he would have to miss three more games in the coming time in order to be eligible to play. It has been seen that the NCAA takes serious action against the people who do any kind of immoral act.
The punishment that was given to A.J. Green was for taking illegal benefits from the agents. His team states that he has paid the one thousand dollar in charity which he got by selling the jersey. He also made an apology to his team members, his coaches and to all his fans for doing a wrong act. He added that he regrets what he has done and he believes that other athletes would be able to learn something from his mistake. For now he is just practicing the game and getting ready to come back into the team as soon as possible.
Green is six feet and four inches tall. He is one of the best players playing at college level and there are possibilities that he would be among the top five picks in the upcoming 2011 National Football League draft. The Georgia team wants him to come back into the squad soon as he is a very valuable player.
