Ajab prem ki ghazab kahani is full of inconsistencies and a lousy one. It fails to have the firm grip of the viewers. The movie is a mix trend of excitement as well as of monotony makes it a moderate attempt. But the movie has the potential to engage viewers not because of its plot or script but due to outstanding performance of Rambhir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.
Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani has introduced virgin and fresh talents and has produced sensational romance with the hilarious tinge of comedy. The film is directed and written by Raj Kumar Santoshi. He has shown a small town resembling Goa. The movie is a different presentation of events which seem to have the element of fantasy rather than reality which is opposed to that of traditional movies of Santoshi.
The movie provides a lighter environment without stressful and agonizing scenes. Rambhir is playing the role of Prem. He is a school-absconder who believes in happiness and forms a group called as “happy club”. He lives with his parents. Jenny is a beautiful girl who has very sad past as she became an orphan in a very tender age and, consequently, she was adopted by a couple who have the intention to bind her in wed-lock with a loathsome guy just because he is rich.
Although there are many events when the movie tries its best to make viewers laugh but it seemed at many places that the viewers are trying to laugh out of courtesy and under compulsion. But Rambhir and Katrina have saved the movie from being a flop. Both Prem and Jenny stammer and this deficiency became an impediment in the way of Prem to express his deep love for Jenny.
On seeing she is going to be married with a n other person, he makes different plans to halt the marriage. Although the movie is engaging due to suspense yet the movie couldn’t sustain its humor. The movie still can be a good option for time-pass.
