There has been another case of a teacher involved with having other than educational relationships with her students as Amy Beck, teacher at a middle school, was found guilty of having slept with one of her extremely under-aged students. The reports have come just a few days after a similar incident took place in Londonderry, New Hampshire, when a forty-one year old English teacher sent some explicit pictures of herself – in attempts of seductions – to a student through an email. Amy, however, went a step further than that and had sex with someone even younger: she slept with a fourteen year old!
Amy Beck teacher was an English and social studies teacher at a school located in the city of Burbank in California, David Starr Jordan Middle School. Its strange when incidents like these happen, we often wonder what possible motivation a thirty-three year old like Amy Beck teacher could have for wanting to seduce someone so much younger than her.
Whatever her reasons may be, now she must suffer the consequences of seven years in prison if she is found guilty of committing four acts of unlawful sex with a minor under the age of sixteen and one act of oral copulation with a minor under the age of sixteen. The date of the trial has not yet been specified while the bail for Amy has been set at four hundred thousand dollars. Amy resigned from her post as teacher at the school before turning herself in for acts she had committed sometime between spring and fall last year.
