It has been confirmed just couple of hours ago that Andhra Pradesh CM Y S Rajasekhara Reddy died in a tragic air crash incident, according to the reports the helicopter that take off from Hyderabad went missing with the passengers just after an hour of flying in a dense and tiger-infested Nalamalla forests, on Wednesday morning due to bad weather condition.
Government officials confirmed that distorted remains of the state helicopter and the body of Andhra Pradesh CM Y S Rajasekhara Reddy along with four bodies, two state officials and two pilots were founded by Army rescue team on Thursday morning just few hours from now. The 60-year-old chief minister, called as YSR, was going, for a mass contact program in Chittoor, 588 km away from New Delhi. The CM flew for Chittoor on a Bell chopper with six seating capacity on Wednesday morning with two of his chief security officer and secretary. After an hour of departure, radio contact was lost with the helicopter; badly crashed helicopter was located on Thursday morning, after 24 hours hard struggle of many state agencies, at a distance 70 km east of Kurnool, near a hill top.
Andhra Pradesh secretariat was shocked with grief and the silence spread out everywhere in the state today morning for this inauspicious incident. Reddy was quite popular for his pro-poor policies and recently he regain power. President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will arrive at Hyderabad in the evening to share the grief of the apprehensive Reddy family.
