Andy Kessler Skateboarder died suddenly on 10th of August 2009 in Montauk, New York. He was a skateboarding legend, who was just 49-year-old. The whole community of Skateboarding is shock regarding the untimely death of Andy Kessler; he was a legendary East Coast Skateboarder. According to the reports he died because of hornet’s sting.
In the late 1970s, Andy Kessler was an essential part and a leader of skate and graffiti crew “The Soul Artists of Zoo York” (Zoo York crew). The great legend of Skateboarder “Andy Kessler” was born in Greece; he was brought up in the Upper West Side of Manhattan on West. His father is the owner of a flowery shop, while his mother served as a Gym teacher. Several publications profiled the Andy Kessler Skateboarder in most recent years including “The New York Times” and “New York Magazine”.
“I met Andy skateboarding in Washington Square Park in 1985, when there were maybe 40 skaters total in New York,” said by Joe Humeres (owner of Bodega Skateboards).
“He battles hardships for 15 years, gets through things that would kill normal people, and he dies from a bee sting? In 2009? It’s unbelievable. He’s definitely going to be missed; he’s had an impact on a lot of people,” says Vander (his close friend).
