United States Forest Service spokesperson said the station fire near Angeles Crest highway has spread over 250 acres by Thursday afternoon, it was reported on Thursday morning that fire has spread on 50 acres, but scorching heat, dry heat and wind worked as fuel, the fire burned up hills to the north side of the highway near 29-miles marker, this was the exact place from where all this started on Wednesday.
Pam Bierce spokesperson for Southern California Incident Management team told that over 400 fire-fighters and personals are fighting the inferno; federal government agencies are organizing the fire-fighting attempts.
Sean Rollman, Angeles National Forest spokesman said that after all the efforts they are only able to contain fire 10% up till this point, according to recent updates, Rangers are hoping to open the Angeles Crest highway by midday today but scrapped those plans are the fire spread.
However, some officials believe that the fire s growth “volatileā, they said that this is the perfect condition that this fire can turn into a wildfire.
Authorities have closed those canyons along the highway close to the inferno for any visitors or residents. It is reported that no building and structures is under threat by fire, the fire was nicknamed as Angeles Crest Fire because it started near the Ranger Station, but the station is safe and out of danger zone, no injuries have been reported up till this point.
