Anna Baltzer, a Jewish-American writer, an award winning lecturer and an energetic activist for Palestinian rights. She will give a vivid and clear demonstration on occupation and pacifism in the Holy Land. The presentation will be going to be held on Nov. 5, at Binghamton University campus. The lecture by Anna Baltzer is free of cost and open to the public.
Baltzer is a Columbia graduate, and a previous Fulbright scholar and above all she is the granddaughter of Holocaust expatriates. In her lecture she will present her personal and direct experience verifying human rights cruelties in the West Bank. She will present the whole picture via stories and slides.
She is presently exploring and visiting the country with her latest book, “Witness in Palestine: A Jewish Woman in the Occupied Territories”.
Baltzer has appeared on television media more than 100 times and has delivered lectures at least in 400 Universities, Schools, Mosques, Churches and Synagogues worldwide and was very much admired by people. Baltzer has received prestigious award for peace and justice by Rachel Corrie. These awards were organized by the Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Committee.
In spite of her work, Anna Baltzer has been judged and criticized by several different organizations. These organizations labeled her as a “Chomsky Lite” and criticized her for campaigning and motivating people on the race basis. No doubt, she has been admired open –heartedly for her work but at a specific level, she was also criticized badly by socialists who believe on humanity not on racialism.
