German actress Antje Traue is appearing in an English film titled Pandorum. The actress, who has been associated with German films only, can now be seen in English film which has released this week in cinemas. Pandorum is the debut film of Antje Traue as an actress in an English film.
Previously Antje Traue has appeared in German movies titled Phantomschmerz (2009), Berlin am Meer (2008), Goldjunge (2006), Kleinruppin Forever (2004),Die Nacht davor (2003), and Verlorene Kinder(2000) as an actress. She has also performed in German TV series titled SOKO Köln (2003), Der Staatsanwalt (2009). Antje Traue was born in Saxony, Germany. She started her acting with a performance in school play. Her acting career was started with a lead role in the musical Hip Hopera. She toured along with the production and performed at various stages around the world including Germany, Europe, and New York City. Antje Traue is fluent in both German and English but she has never appeared in any English film or TV series until 2008 when director Christian Alvart signed her in his film Pandorum. Christian Alvart offered Antje Traue a lead role in the film which she happily accepted. The film has premiered this Friday, September 25. Pandorum is a sci-fi film which starred Antje Traue along with Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster. The critics have given mixed opinion about the performance of Antje Traue in the movie. Antje Traue played the character of Nadja. Critics have welcomed her entrance in Hollywood but have expressed their reservations about her acting skills. We are hoping to see more English films by Antje Traue.
