Archie Comics is bringing in their 1st gay comic character to Riverdale, as per the Washington Post.
“Archie Comics” will present afresh class fellow to Riverdale High this fall, an openly-gay adolescent named K. Keller. Newly, the comic world was stunned to hear that Archie offered to Veronica in a past edition of Archie Digest. The question came to an end to the 65 yr old, that to whom Archie was going to select. Archie has been coming back and forth ‘tween the 2 girls for yrs. The increase of a homosexual character to the comic world of Riverdale presents that the comic series is now trying to move away from the traditional plot lines.
Fresh student K. Keller is anticipated to come by Riverdale High in edition 202 of famous Veronica Digest in a tale named “Isn’t It Bromanic?” The story line will circle around Veronica Lodge falling in a love of Kevin and everybody understanding that he is homosexual, except Veronica. She does not quite realize that why Kevin does not fall in love with her and no one tells the reason of that to Veronica.
As declaring the news the famous Archie Comics, co-CEO Jon Goldwater told that Kevin is “about holding the world of Archie Comics latest and inclusive.” He as well told that “Riverdale has e’er been a safe and secure world for everybody. It only adds up to have an openly homosexual character.”
He added up that people, who are displeased by watching the Riverdale gang loaf with a gay adolescent, are not the sort of people we need for reading our comic books anyway.
