Christian religion is one of the biggest religions in the world. The 1st day of the Lent right before forty-six days of the festival Easter comes the day of Ash Wednesday. On Ash Wednesday forehead of every follower of Christ has a cross on it made from ash. The day was celebrated yesterday in the traditional way. Some priests of specific churches mix the ash with a special holy oil of Catechumen. As a fixative aqua and oil of the olives is used in some churches. Ash Wednesday is the first fast of the Christians for the year and some go for a full fast throughout the day and some followers also keep restrain from eating bread on the day. Those Catholics which are above the age of fourteen years don’t eat meat on this holy day. The holy day comes in between the months of February and March. Catholics of Rome of ages between eighteen and fifty-nine are allowed to eat a full meal. The day has a lot of historical importance, Moses and Jesus started their forty years fasting season on this day. The day is very important for Christians.
