Ayman Udas
A raising singing sensation from Peshawar, Pakistan “Ayman Udas” was killed by her own brother after her appearance on the television. Ayman Udas is newly married and was in her early thirties. This happened when Pakistan is under the threat of Islamic fundamentalists in the area and many parts of the territory are operated by them. The communities of artists were shocked and are afraid for their lives but apparently this is the backlash against those women and cultural that is not allowed in the Islamic community of fundamentalists.
Ayman was use to perform on “Pakistan Television Network” PTV a national channel in “Pastho” language this is the native language for Frontier province and of all the tribal area. She was not only the singer but was also a song writer. Ayman Udas’s family considered singing a sinful act and they were not happy over her increasing appearances on the TV. According to her family they are ashamed of her sinful acts and her growing popularity last week her two brothers entered her flat while her husband was out of the house and shot three bullets which hit her in the cheats resulting in her death, none of the two brothers were caught until now.
Ayman Udas was married before but was divorced due to some reasons. She remarried just 10 days before her death the last song performed by her on the television was “I died but still live among the living, because I live on in the dreams of my lover”.
Usman Khan the husband to Ayman Udas told the police that she was not killed by any terrorist Islamic group infect she was killed by her own brothers because they have never likes her in a performers career he said “She was killed for breaking her family traditions”.
