Bernard LeFrancois or should we call him the ecstasy man have been sentenced for three and half years of jail. The Bangor daily news reported that the person was smuggling around one hundred thousand ecstasy pills from United States and Canadian border. The smuggler was presented against the court on Tuesday where he was sentenced to fourty four months in jail which equals to three years and six months. The fourty six year old will be supervised during his time in jail and has been waived from longer jail sentence because he told the police officials about the location of the drug pills. The Bangor daily news said that he was pleaded guilty last year for the import of illegal substances. The United States District Court in Bangor didn’t agree to release him on bail.
The ecstasy pills are quite dangerous and usually known as date rape pills. It’s usually used with other substances and is quite cheaper. Recently a case of a murdered girl was reported who had been given the date rape pill and stabbed to death. The United States government has banned the use of such pills to avoid such criminal activities. The use of such pills makes the users completely unknown of what’s going on around him or what he does. The ecstasy pills are mixed with caffeine or ephedrine and are also found in the form of Pharmaceutical pills. The United States have passed a legal act against the import of such drugs and now according to the Bangor daily news the imported drugs have been caught by the police officials.
