Bear Lake is a lovely, beautiful and sensational lake located at Idaho and Utah in the state of Alaska, USA. Since the annum 1819, Bear Lake according to statistics is said to be among one of the largest water filled lakes in the Western coast of United States. Due to its aqua blue colour water, it is known as “Caribbean of the Rockies”.
This Lake has been a place of great interest for visitors over the past few years not only because of its geographical location but also due to the fact that there have been an advancement in its vicinity and people come over in all four seasons of the year; spring, summer, autumn and winter to enjoy its breath taking view. Water sports and golf are the two major activities that keep people coming in more numbers to this place alongside Boating, Scuba Diving and Sailing. The famous winter sports undertaken at Bear Lake include Ice fishing, snowboarding and skiing. The lake continues to be an admirable place for tourists all over which has aided the suburbs in gaining a reputation for the availability of high quality raspberries. This has led to the initiation of a raspberry festival in the area of Garden City every year in the month of August with small cultural festivals like dances, funfairs, fireworks, concerts and parades.
Currently there has been an ongoing dispute over the settlement of the Bear Lake Gold and the shareholders which hopefully is going to get resolved soon and would not affect the tourists from visiting this wonder of land.
