September 7, 2009 is going to be the last day for Big Bad Wolf roller coaster in Big Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Virginia Theme park. Authorities said on Saturday that theme park’s favorite and Beloved Big Bad Wolf Roller Coaster is going to be decommissioned this September. John Reilly the Big Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Virginia Theme park general Manager said in a statement that it has been 25 years that the Big Bad Wolf has entertained its riders of all ages and it is time for suspended roller coaster to retire.
In the statement he said that the management realizes that Big Bad Wolf is the favorite ride of the park and guests love it and this is the reason they have made the announcement now so that fans of Big Bad Wolf roller coaster can ride it one last time before it closes.
Big Bad Wolf was one of its kind suspended roller coaster when it was opened in 1984 around 30 million riders have boarded this roller coaster it up till now according to the management.
Theme Park designer and Vice President of engineering Larry Giles said that although Big Bad Wolf remains a secure attraction, the suspended roller coaster has reached to the end of its service life.
Management has not announced any future replacements of Big Bad Wolf roller Coaster.
