Nearly twenty four Grand Slams go Andy Roddick won the title for America, the second longest deficiency in U.S tennis history and now once again this 27-year-old athlete Andy Roddick began to try to do somewhat unique once again, on Monday night he has defeated his German opponent Bjorn Phau, by 6-1, 6-4, 6-2, after stepping on a Grand Slam court for the first time since his Wimbledon heartbreak. The match Prove to be purely unlucky for Bjorn Phau.
Bjorn Phau, a professional German tennis player, holds German national junior competitions and soon he was invited with three other players to join Mercedes-Benz junior team when he was of 17. He has not had a lot of a US hard courtyard swing this summer, focusing more on European soil court events. He played his first tournament in New Haven last week and won three matches before being driven out by Sam Querrey.
Andy Roddick came back from the dissatisfaction of losing the Wimbledon final as he reached the final at Washington and the semi final in Montreal. Over the summer he has record of 7-3 record and feels as he is in excellent form to give it a real go here in New York.
Phau has not had the best spells on the main tour, and had to be eligible for a lot of events. He has reached on 9-14 in main event matches this period. Phau managed to achieve the 1st round of the US Open last spell and lost in straight sets by Rafael Nadal.
Bjorn Phau will be expecting to cause a marvelous upset, but in fact does not have the weapons to create difficulty for Roddick here. This match will be played under lights, which is usually when the American crowds are more voiced in their support of the home favorites.
