
According to a news conference held by New York State Police in Ithaca on Thursday afternoon gave the detail of the death of a 28 years old Pennsylvanian woman Caroline M. Coffey. Her body was found in Ithaca Town’s wooded area on Wednesday. Police told the media that on Tuesday night, Nine hours before they discovered Caroline M. Coffey’s body, Blazej J. Kot 24-years-old husband of Coffey led police on a 5 mile chase from Taughannock Falls State Park to Ulysses southwest of the park. Blazej J. Kot drove his car off the road and slammed into a tree. Blazej J. Kot was holding a sharp edged weapon and one of the officers who was chasing Kot removed the weapon from his hand by force.
Blazej J. Kot was airlifted to a local hospital that was in a critical and was suffering with a self-inflicted wound, according to officials, latest reports tells us that now his condition is stable after an emergency surgery. Police said that Blazej J. Kot has not been charged with a crime yet, but he is under protector.
Caroline M. Coffey has been doing job as a researcher at “Cornell University” and was living in an apartment which she has been sharing with her husband Blazej J. Kot at 921 Taughannock Boulevard and her body was found at 8 a.m. Wednesday just 400 yards north from her apartment.
After a 5 mile chase and collection of evidence police decided to check Blazej J. Kot apartment and when they have reached there they have found apartment on fire, after the firefighters put of the flames investigators searched the apartment for his wife but she was no were to be found but next morning at about 8:00 A.M, 28 year old Pennsylvanian woman Caroline M. Coffey dead body was found by the hikers along the “Black Diamond Trail” by hikers. According to the autopsy of the body she received a critical neck wound and was bled to death.
