US Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the blind recall. The blind recall is one of the biggest propositions in the history of America. Blind recall has been announced after the reports that eight children died of the killing blinds and 16 were almost near to death due to the cords of Window Blinds.
The decision of Blind recall has been made by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission in consultation with US window Blind industry.
It has been publicized that every roller and Roman shade must be recalled from the market to avoid any possible hazards by the control panel of the Window Blind. It has been reported that around 49 Million window blind sets have been recalled.
The actual culprit in the Window blind is its cord that is causing severe injuries and deaths by hanging down and trapping kids in side. The research suggested that the cords’ hang down caused injuries to 16 children and 8 died of the same problem.
US consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the repair kits for the consumers to fix the issues. CPSC also stopped the retailer for further sales and also asked them to recall from the market as well. The authorities also noted that after the blind recall announcement numerous retailers were working by their own recollect the blinds from the market.
