The race is on Bolder Boulder one of the largest races of the world which held’s in Colorado every year. Tens of thousands of athletes are in Colorado today for Bolder Boulder race. Today on 25th May, 2009 the 31st annual Bolder Boulder is on and almost 50,000 runners all around the world have the same goal to enjoy the day with some exercise and to have a fun day which is good for the health.
Athletes have been training for months and weeks and today’s the day when their hard work will pay off. Many of the runners are participating in the Bolder Boulder for the first time, but according to professional runners they got there a day before the race but nothing beat the rush. Organizers have finished their final preparations at Folsom Field on Sunday. 54,000 athletes have participated in last year’s Bolder Boulder and this year the numbers are almost same. It appears that the Bolder Boulder is ongoing when many people are cutting back their budgets.
The good thing in this year’s Bolder Boulder race is that this year runners are allowed to listen to music or radio on their headphones. The company that assures the race did not allow headphones in the past because of the responsibility. A participant of the race Bosley said that people can run with headphones without turning the song loud. He also said that the company that didn’t allow the headphones last year has realized that this is not reasonable.
The People can register for the race up till 5:45 A.M. including walk-up, the race will start at exactly 7:00 A.M in the morning. Many of the roads in Colorado will be closed for the Bolder Boulder race.
