The Brady Bunch Movie is a comedy film and a “movie version” of the 1970s’ television series the Brady Bunch. In this movie, the television characters are played by different actors. The Brady Bunch Movie presents a clash of the original characters of 70s having the same “set of values” of that era within the 1990s’ environment. The movie was a hit leading to another sequel released in 1996. The concept again returned to television when T.V. film The Brady Bunch in the White House was shown on television in 2002. The plot of the film revolves around the Brady Bunch family who still lives in 70′s state of mind with same set of values. Mr.Dittmeyer is an estate developer who makes a plan to convert a residential area in to shopping mall. All the residents of a certain area are tempted and agreed to join the “money minded plan” except one “the Brady Bunch family”. The real estate developer makes a plan to harass them for tax evasion and then to force them to sell their property. The family consists of a couple, Mike and Carol, and six children. The movie then revolves around the family politics between children. Jan is jealous of Marcia; Greg has an ambition to become a singer. The couple receives a notice from Dittmeyers which states that their house will be foreclosed if they do not pay their unpaid taxes amounting $20,000. As mike is an architect, his architectural plan is rejected by his client due to which he tells his wife that they may have to dispose of their house. Then movie weaves around the relationship of one of their daughters and a fleeing of another daughter. Then they make a plan to sing in “talent hunt” contest to win money to pay tax and save their house. The children take part in the contest and sing in the 70s’style but the other modern bands receive greater attention by the audience. But the irony intrudes when they win the contest due to judges who belonged to 70s’ era. They pay their taxes from the prize money and Dittmeyers’ plan is ruined.
