The match was between Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs. The arena was charged with emotions. The emotions were so high that they could be sensed in air. Gators went on to name the match in their favor. The effort on the both sides was phenomenal so much so that after the gators won the game they went on to declare it as their most significant victory. The incident wasn’t much noticed at first as everybody was so much absorbed in the play. As people watched the incident in slow motion, it became clear that foul play has taken place.
During the play Florida and Georgia teams pile up. A Georgia player is seen deep under the pile up. Brandon Spikes falls on the already downed players. He moves a bit and his hand is seen seeking some target. The target comes in the shape of Washaun Ealey’s helmet. Brendon Spike inserts his hand in Ealy’s helmet. The sheer force with which he is doing it makes it look like that Gator’s linebacker is trying to extract eyes of the player of the Georgia team. Meanwhile Ealy’s hand is seen coming from under the pile as he attempts to stop Spikes from doing, what he intends do.
Though Spikes is a very talented player and has much to do with the victory of the team against Georgia, he had to face heavy criticism for his action. The criticism has resulted in player being banned for the first half in team’s match against Vanderbilt.
