While she received the trophy she brought her baby girl along with her in the court and showed her little daughter the new, shiny hardware. Jada, her 18 month daughter, tapped the trophy and then walked up to her mother to give the media a perfect picture moment. The crowd then saw a smiling Kim carrying her daughter in one hand and her trophy in the other.
It was a pleasant surprise for the tennis world that a woman who was playing her third match after her retirement won the championship. Kim Clijsters made a comeback in the tennis world after a 27 month retirement. During this short period, she gave birth to her daughter Jada. But according to her coach, Kim was in full shape during the matches and truly made a “fairy tale’s ending”. Earlier this week, no one would have thought that Clijsters could make to the finals even. But the lady proved that she is rightly a tennis’ star. Kim Clijsters commented about her comeback and her success and credited her husband, Brian Lynch, and her family for her huge success. Her husband, Brian Lynch, is a basketball star. According to Kim, her husband actually insisted her to come out of her retirement.
