It was the most devastating news for me as I am one of her biggest fans and I still remember the portrayal of the characters Britney Murphy played in Ramen Girl, Just Married, 8 Mile, Clueless, Girl, interrupted and Sin City. She also voiced in “Happy Feet” and “TV’s King Of The Hill”.
The shocking news about the death of 32-year-old actress Britney Murphy has been confirmed by Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre on 20 December at 10:04 a.m. local time.
Murphy’s publicist Nicole Perna has also confirmed the news in a statement released on Sunday afternoon saying “Britney Murphy’s family is thankful for the love and support from her fans, but wishes that her fans respect her family’s privacy.”
According to the statement released by Perna her family declaired her a loving daughter and a shining star of their family. Married to Monjack she was living with him and her mother in L.A at the time of her death.
Murphy’s mother found her unconscious in the showers and called 911. She was taken to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre where doctors tried to retrieve her but in vain.
According to the reports Monjack, Murphy’s husband requested Cedars-Sinai Medical Center staff that he did not want an autopsy performed on his beloved wife. However according to reports Los Angeles county coroners will perform an autopsy on the deceased for investigation purposes. Autopsy reports are expected to be released on Monday.
Initial reports suggest that Britney Murphy was suffering with Type2 diabetes and was on perception drugs, it has also been reported that before her death she suffered with flue type symptoms and was vomiting for several days.
