According to the reports, the family of Brittanee Drexel is making another try to get the word out again about their missing girl. The family is running a poker run this weekend to spread the word about their missing daughter. The poker run will start from Budweiser and make several stops throughout the Manatee County and Lakewood Ranch.
Brittanee Drexel is 17-years-old and was found missing on April 25, 2009 after she left the Blue Water Resort on Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach. It was theorized by the detectives that she has been abducted. The detectives also showed their fear about Brittanee’s life being in danger. Massive publicity was made by the family members in order to find her and to spread the word about her abduction but the missing girl’s case became a mystery. It’s been more than six months now and no information is available about her whereabouts yet.
The investigation was started by the detectives soon after the news came to them about the girl. The detectives first started searching the area of North Santee Community in Georgetown where her cell phone’s last signals were found. The detectives continued organized searches to find her but with time the story faded. Her case was almost forgotten until August when the family members arranged a service in her memory and released balloons in the air. Her family members, friends, and community residents gathered at the park where the ceremony was held. This weekend the family of Brittanee Drexel is arranging another ceremony to spread the word in the neighborhood again.
The family is hosting a poker run race and the participants will travel from one area to other meeting people and showing them the pictures of Brittanee Drexel.
