The road accidents are always subject to prejudicial perception due to the fact that people tend to sympathize with the victim and deem the other person as offender. It becomes very difficult to reckon who was actually responsible for the accident. A person may die due to his own fault. There is no doubt that the increasing number of road accidents is due to drunken drivers but it is always not the case. Brittany Hollenbach was hit by a car when she was crossing the road in haste. She was twenty years old and enjoyed a lot of popularity among her college fellows because she was an ambitious, attractive, vibrant and dynamic girl. She was the student of University of Washington. The students’ union and her friends are holding a ceremony to pay tribute to her. According to reports, Brittany Hollenbach was roaming around with her friends to enjoy out-doors. She was with her four friends and they had the intention to enjoy till late at night. It was 12:00 pm when she wanted to cross the road but a fast-moving car hit her. She received lethal blows on the head. The cranial damage done to skull is very difficult to cure because of the internal bleeding and swelling of the brain. She was admitted to Harborview Medical centre. The person who hit the girl was arrested by the police. The person who was arrested was not found to have committed drunk driving nor did he was found to be on drugs. So the actual cause of the accident has not been established.
