Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has pushed his fight with Shane Carwin till January 2010. He was scheduled to have this fight with Carwin on November 21, 2009. He was scheduled to have a fight against Carwin for his title defense in Mandalay Bay Events in Las Vegas at one of the main events of UFC. It has been reported that Brock Lesnar has rescheduled his fight due to illness. It has been said that the fighter has postponed the fight due to lack of training because of his illness. The illness has not been specified yet. However according to a source Brain Stegeman, the co-manager of Brock Lesnar that Lesnar is suffering with fever, fatigue, and respiratory problems. The extreme fatigue and illness has forced Lesnar to remain out of the training camp for almost a month. The co-manager also told that he has no idea whether Lesnar has been infected with H1N1 virus (as it has been speculated by many news papers).
A sports reporter of one of the major sports news agency has reported that Lesnar talked about his illness and said that according to Lesnar he was not able to get out of the sickness yet and that it was going on for quite a long time. The reporter also told that according to Lesnar he had never felt that much sick in his entire life.
Lesnar’s managers and his spokesmen are claiming that he has requested to postpone the fight because of illness, some sports analysts believes that there might be some ‘other reasons involved. A fellow heavyweight champion Frank Mir says that such fatigue and illness is part of a fighter’s training and that it shouldn’t make us crippled. He says that Lesnar may have a fear of fighting against Carwin. He also said that he don’t think Lesnar is really sick but he’s pretending so,s to get more time for training for a fight against someone like Shane Carwin. Mir also said that even he himself won’t go for fight against Carwin on such a short notice.
