6 police officers had an accident on 4th of August, Tuesday during a funeral procession of largest Harley-Davidson dealer of the world named “Bruce Rossmeyer”. They were working on Bruce Rossmeyer’s funeral and two of them were injured in the accident. This incident took place when police officer crashed their Haley-Davidson motorbikes.
According to Sgt. Kim Montes (a spokeswoman from Florida Highway Patrol), that they are investigating this accident; which occurred at “North Halifax Drive” and “Granada Boulevard” just after 9 AM. Bruce Rossmeyer was 66 year-old, who lost his life last week when his motorcycle crashed in Wyoming. Bruce Rossmeyer was buried in “Ormond Beach” on Tuesday during a private funeral ceremony.
One bike led the route for funeral procession and Behind the vehicle of Bruce Rossmeyer, there was a parade of motorcycles; which paying a tribute to the Bruce Rossmeyer as he played a vital role in making bikes bigger again in “Daytona Beach”.
“Knowing the legend of Bruce Rossmeyer, what he’s given to this community, it was captured in everybody’s words and feelings,” family friend Linda Merrel said.
Several people attended his funeral ceremony including many police officers on bikes. But unfortunately six of them got an accident during procession.
“They were all traveling in a line. They had to brake and the line kind of accordioned and the bikes ran into each other,” Kenny Hayes of the Ormond Beach Police Office said.
