Bruce Rossmeyer killed in an accident on Wyoming highway while he was on his way to attend a bike show at Sturgis in South Dakota; he was the owner of largest Harley Davidson dealership of the country, including the biggest Destination Daytona, which is situated near Daytona Beach off Interstate 95.
Bruce Rossmeyer made his name and face indistinguishable with Harley Davidson through Television commercials and huge highway billboards, using his smash hit personality, he promoted Daytona Bike Week making it a huge success and a place for bikers to enjoy.
Yesterday on Thursday 30th July Bruce Rossmeyer was riding on his Harly Davidson without a helmet according to authorities, when he struck the driver’s-side door of a truck on Wyoming highway, he was on his way to attend the biggest annual Strugis bike rally in South Dakota, he was 66-year-old at the time of his death and is survived by his wife “Sandy” 5 children and 9 grandchildren, he was living in Ormond Beach.
Bruce Rossmeyer was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and started his career with a Dodge dealership in 1969, but his love for bikes made him change his career from car dealer to a bike dealer and in 1994 he opened the Harley Davidson Daytona beach dealership, in an interview he said that in the start it was a hobby, but soon become his obsession.
Friends and fellow bikers are shocked by his death, a friend said he just started living his life as a free man, he was doing what he wanted to do, and it was a good death he died doing what he loved the most.
