Although knowledge and skill is vital for success yet determination has the most important thing for any endeavor. It suggests that the psychological strengths may work wonders. Byron Pitts had the communication problem until he was twenty. He was almost illiterate at the age of twelve. Byron is the living example of such psychological strengths. He is the chief correspondent for the CBS News. His position in life despite all calamities and deficiencies is attributed to painstaking work, devotion and the assistance and guidance of his friends. He has mentioned many of his ordeals in his recent book “Step Out on Nothing”. He was present at Early Show with Harry Smith to share his life events and how he managed to over-come his flaws. The journalist is an Emmy Award winner and was inspired by a notion when he was in a church. That very notion triggered a desire to write a book with title “Step Out on Nothing”. The phrase changed and revolutionized his life. “She says step out on nothing, we all have struggle. Step out on your faith” he explained. He told that the people who have a belief in a power greater than themselves can only understand what is ‘stepping out on nothing’ which means “step out on your faith”. Although the book throws light on many of his hardships but the theme on which the pyramid of achievements through struggle resides is the bed rock of his “faith”. The same faith was the integral part of her mother and grandmother’s life.
