A C 17 plane got crashed last evening on the Elmendorf Air force Base. The time at which the crash took place was about 6.15. Reportedly there were four crew members aboard on the C 17 when it got crashed. The crash took place at the runway 6 in the northeast side of the airport. A press conference that took place at about 10.20 at night did not reveal much about the incident. The Lt. General of Air Force stated that he does not know whether the people aboard have died or not and he also doesn’t know about the military branch to which they belonged. The press conference took place at the Boniface gate ground.
What the senior official confirmed is that the plane was doing a demonstration practice for the Arctic Thunder Show that shall take place this weekend. No updates have come whether the show shall still take place or not. He also added that no final reports on the number of casualties or anything else regarding the incident shall be revealed until the air crash investigators do not complete their work.
He also considered the C 17 crash to be a mishap. He stated that he is also busy in collecting information on the plane crash. The relatives of the persons who were aboard have also not been allowed to reach the crash site or even go ahead of the visitor’s center. Stress management team was also sent to the airport so that they may help anyone who got extremely shocked due to the whole incident.
