Polk County, Minnesota born Charles Panzram is famous as “Carl Panzram” an American Serial Killer who was a troubled child even before reaching his teens. Born in 1891 to Matilda and Johann Panzram, he become completely alcoholic while reaching his teens and ran away from home when he was just 14-years-old. Carl Panzram claimed to have been gang raped repeatedly by a group of bindlestiffs.
Carl Panzram by his adulthood was a prolific thief but was caught and imprisoned by authorities several times. He said to have hatred towards authorities and frequently attacked guards during his imprisonment.
His killing spree started in 1920 when in New York he lured 10 sailors got them drunk, shot them and then dumped their bodies into the river. His last two victims who was also aboard in the vessel escaped when the vessel was shipwrecked in the Atlantic City of New Jersey.
Carl Panzram was unstoppable after that and went to Africa to claim more lives and to continue his killing spree he said to rape and kill a 12-year-old boy there. In murder confession he wrote that the he stopped when child’s brain came out of his ears and he cannot be any deader. He also wrote that he hired a rowing boat and shot all the rowers then feed their bodies to crocodiles.
Back in America Carl Panzram claimed to kill a man who tried to rob him. He also claimed to kill two more little boys, killing one with a rock and strangling other later that year.
According to details he killed murdered a person while heisting around Baltimore and D.C, whereas he also confirmed a murder in Philadelphia, which he committed back in 1928.
In his confession he said that he killed over 21 people and committed thousands of robberies and last but not least committed sodomy with more than 1000 males and for all that he is not in the least bit sorry.
Carl Panzram was hanged in 1930.
