Ok! I have been looking in the dictionary, if there is something as “Cakologist” because it is the term that would fit Buddy Valastro of Carlos Bakery. He is not an ordinary baker; he specializes in baking cakes that look like a painting of Claude Monet. Buddy Valastro is the Cake Boss of TLC’s show with the same name. His cakes have been featured from cook books to bridal magazines. Carlos bakery has been a topic of articles in popular newspapers and magazines.
Well the cakes are baked for any situation you would like to have them for, but Valastro’s specialty is wedding cakes. For the wedding cake to be made exactly as per the aspirations of the couple and to be truly memorable he recommends a meeting to be arranged with the, would be bride and groom, well in advance. In the meeting the couple is shown the various designs, sugar art and different tiered cakes to choose from. Valastro insists the meeting to be as informal as possible as he wants to know the exact budget a couple has planned for the item, their likings in case of colors and texture of the cake and most importantly the taste of the cake. To judge the exact taste, couple is offered samples to taste and then choose.
Carlos Bakery was run by Buddy Valastro’s father. As his father died when Valastro was just 17, he decided to take on the mission and has added many varieties and tastes to the delicacies his father made.
