Carlos Dunlap has been arrested for driving under the influence. Bad luck for Carlos Dunlap who has been arrested for driving under the influence this Tuesday morning. He has been charged with driving under the influence in the wee hours of the day (around 3.25 a.m.) and is waiting in the Alachua County Jail to make first appearance.
According to the details revealed by a police officer, Police arrested Carlos Dunlap, a junior from North Charleston, after an informant reported about a reckless drive near the Florida campus. The police officer dispatched the complaint immediately and spotted the car which was described by the complainant stopped at a green light. The police officers observed no movement in the car for many light cycles and decided to approach the car. The officer found Carlos Dunlap at the steering, asleep. The car engine was on and the vehicle was on gear. Dunlap was arrested by the police and the sobriety test revealed that he was driving under the influence. Carlos refused to give a breath test.
The incident not only put Carlos behind the bars but has caused a suspension from the team for the Saturday’s big game. Florida coach Urban Meyer has announced the suspension of the player from the team for the SEC Championship game. Justin Trattou is expected to replace Carlos in the team for the match. Carlos removal from the team may bring a serious blow to the team as he is one of the best players of the top-ranked Gaters. Meyer, announcing his suspension said, ‘Carlos obviously made a very poor decision.’
