Violence is a tool for ignorant and it is more miserable if it is being practiced in the home of literacy. A student of Carolina Forest High School in Myrtle Beach, SC was killed on Friday morning, by the school’s resource officer due to some dispute between the two. According to the reports, the officer Marcus Rhodes shot the 16 years old student of Carolina Forest High School after an argument.
The student, whose name was not disclosed yet, attacked the officer with knife he had at the time and apparently wanted to kill the officer inside the school and the officer then shot the boy to save his own life.
After the incident, this student of 11 grades and the officer were immediately taken to the nearby hospital, the Conway Medical Center, where the boy later died just after few hours. The officer is now out of danger and is being treated for his injuries. The school was lockdown just after the incident.
This is not the first time that a student has been killed in violence at School campus, another incident of same sort occurred in June 2006, when 18 years old Natalia Holmes, was attacked 15 times by Edwin Cornelius by her aggressive and violent boyfriend in the parking lot of the school.
The School will remains close till the situation becomes normal and under control. Parents may go to pick up their children from school. Police is investigating the incident with the cooperation of school authorities.
