Summer is about to end. The change in weather is the sign for autumn with a lot of festivities and celebrations along with it. Festivals displaying seasonal fruits and veggies, wine tasting events, gourmet dinners, and carnivals. While there are many food festivals going to be held this autumn, one of the main attraction during this month is the Carrboro music festival. Carrboro Music Festival is an annual musical fiesta and this year the festival celebrated its 12th anniversary on Sunday. The festival offered music performances ranging from pop to country. Carrboro music festival offers a unique opportunity to visit the Carrboro town as well.
The festival arranged performing stages at 23 different locations in the town where 170 different musical performances were made by solo artists as well as group musicians. More than 10,000 people enjoyed the music.
The festival was a family event and there were special activities for children and young kids at the Town Common area of Carrboro. There were free bus rides and train available for the festival visitors to travel in the town area.
The uniqueness about the festival is the location of performance stages in different areas of the town which gives the visitor an opportunity to explore more about Carrboro. Carrboro is a historical pedestrian town which has unique artifacts and crafts shops. The visitors could find handmade wood floorings which are one-of-its kind in the entire North Carolina.
The Carrboro Musical Festival also hosted food vendors which offered delicacies to the visitors.
