Even in the holiday, the students and management of the Chaffey college is committed and motivated to raise the donations, toys and other household items for the needy families in all college districts that are facing financial constrains. Chaffey college students have started their collection campaign on Monday and they are still engaged in gathering different items and toys for the poor kids and families as per their wish list. The donations have been accepted at Cucamonga, Rancho and Chino campuses of Chaffey College as well.
The Senate of the Chaffey College had initiated collection of stuffed toys for annual teddy bear hugs and they were able to collect 200 stuffed toys that cheer the children of Loma Linda Hospital. Mr. Trisha Albertson stated that they also received cash donations around $299 and the amount will be utilized to fulfill the wish list of the children.
The students and the employees of the college have also gathered the toilet items and other various house hold items for Ruth House. Furthermore they also raised a handsome amount of $3000 for the scholarship of the needy students.
Chaffy College student associated arranged and hosted their annual night accompanied by Santa and Mrs. Claus, where they distributed the toys and other items to the children and the families of the Chaffey Colleges who were not able to purchase the items due to financial problems. Mrs. Claus and Santa distributed the gifts to the families. This year Chaffey college association of students have helped more then 85 families from the donations and items collected form the faculty, staff and students of Chaffy college.
