Actor Charlie Sheen got arrested for domestic violence.
The 44-year-old actor was arrested on Friday morning after the security officials received a 911 emergency call from a home in Aspen, Colorado. Charlie Sheen was arrested on accusations of domestic violence; however, it is reported that the accuser was not taken to the hospital meaning she was not seriously injured. The police has refused to reveal the name of the accuser but it is believed that the woman was Charlie Sheen’s third wife Brooke Mueller. Charlie Sheen spent the better part of his Christmas being arrested. He was released around 7:00 p.m. after posting a $8,500 bond. According to a police spokesperson, Charlie Sheen is expected to appear in front of the Pitkin County Court on February 8, 2010.
The bond contains ‘standard domestic violence’ conditions. According to these conditions, Charlie Sheen is not allowed to make any contact with the victim or his family. He is not allowed to make entry in the victim’s family residence. The bond conditions also include no harassing of the victim, no use of drugs or alcohol, and no possessions of any weapon.
Charlie Sheen married Brooke Mueller in May 2008. She is a real estate investor and gave birth to their twin boys in March 2009. According to a report, Brook Mueller Sheen rented a home in Colorado while Charlie Sheen lives in Los Angeles.
Charlie Sheen has a history of brushing with law in the past too. Charlie Sheen was arrested in 1996 for a physical attack on a woman. He was also named as a client of ‘Hollywood Madam’ and testified that he has paid a huge sum of money to her for escorts. In 1998, Charlie Sheen was taken to the hospital after a drug overdose. He has also a history of arrests for drunk driving.
Charlie Sheen is an American TV actor who is best known for his acting honors in country’s one of the most popular sitcoms ‘Two and a Half Men’. Charlie Sheen was the highest paid TV star of 2008. He received $825,000 for an episode.
