When you think of reality television shows that give the “real” to reality, you can think of sixteen and pregnant, a show produced by Morgan J. Freeman (not to be confused with the actor and film director Morgan Porterfield Freeman.) As the show moves on through its second season after first being aired in the second week of June last year, Chelsea Houska has become the center of attention for the millions of viewers who have been following the series.
Chelsea Houska is a sixteen year old senior at the Vermillion High School in South Dakota and she became the talk of the town as she went into labor thirty-five days earlier than expected. She gave birth to a baby girl who she has named Aubree Skye and her boyfriend who goes by the name of Adam hasn’t been all that inspirational when it comes to young fathers. Aubree was diagnosed with jaundice as she was born and inevitable kept in the hospital for the next few days as precautionary measures.
The issues of Chelsea Houska began when her boyfriend Adam made it clear to her that he held other priorities over seeing the wellbeing of their child. Adam was never on the good side of Chelsea’s father but some measure of reconciliation was attained when the two had a sit down together. Her father always considered him ill-mannered and not the most reliable of people to have feelings for and though it might have seemed like things could work between the family, Adam went to prove Chelsea’s father right by abandoning Chelsea and Aubree when they needed him most.
