There still aren’t enough Chile earthquake 2010 pictures on the web and it is causing a great curiosity amongst the population of the world that has so far been keeping their curiosity at bay through new pieces and articles related to the massive 8.8 earthquake that rocked the entire northern region of South America. The earthquake that struck at half past three on Saturday morning was so massive that its ripples could be felt all the way in Brazil which is really far from the epicenter, lying at a distance of 1,800 miles away.
The epicenter of the quake was in the northeastern direction from one of the largest cities in Chile, Concepcion. All the major cities of Chile were left in darkness as the transmission lines and telephone lines had been destroyed or disconnected after the quake. The mobile networks were also down as most of the booster towers had fallen and there wasn’t much that the mobile companies could do to restore connections to normal. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that there aren’t many Chile earthquake 2010 pictures as the internet connections might also have suffered.
When “Chile earthquake 2010 pictures” is typed into any search engine most of the images that come as a result are older pictures or just pictures of graphs and explanations of how a tsunami is created. The earthquake has left more than half a million houses in ruins leaving thrice as many people displaced or without a home. Last night the death toll for the quake had been given as two hundred and fourteen people but this figure may easily exceed that number in the coming days.
