Hundreds have been confirmed deceased while thousands declared injured as an earthquake hit the province of Qinghai in China today. The China quake took place in the morning hours when the children were headed to school and the herders and farmers getting to their fields. The local time at the time of the China quake was forty-nine minutes after seven in the morning which equates to seven-forty-nine in the evening for those on the eastern coast of America. The worst is not over as yet for a lot of the population has been left homeless and the weather is harshly cold in southwestern Qinghai.
The government, in response to the China quake, has taken the measures of providing tents to the displaced and some coverings for the night which will mostly be blankets and overalls that the people might wear to keep warm. The magnitude of the China quake has been quoted at 7.1 by the Chinese and 6.9 by the United States Geological Survey. As of yet ten thousand people have suffered injury from the quake but as time passes that number will increase as the death toll might as well. The number of people left deceased from the China quake is four hundred at the moment but those are just the initial figures.
In a short period of time around five thousand tents will reach the devastated region of southern Qinghai to accommodate those who have los their homes. With this there will be a shipment of a hundred thousand blankets as well.
