A candidate from conservative “Chloe Smith” is the new MP of constituency because her party has won the “Norwich North by-election” with the majority votes of 7,348. Chloe Smith is just 27 years old and the youngest one in the parliament. On the other side Labour party had not been expecting having to select a new candidate at all because they pushed into 2nd position.
The 45 % turnout has been set in the yesterday’s vote and well down on 61 % was recorded at the previous General Election. The by-election was arranged due to the resignation of Ian Gibson (who had majority votes of 5,459) after when Labour disqualified him from standing once more over his operating expense claims. Votes of Labour could slip away because of anger treatment of the party with Dr Gibson.
Chloe Smith expressed herself as a “Norfolk Girl Through and Through”, who having been a student at a comprehensive in region and having lived in district since she was 3 years old. Now, Chloe Smith is a School Governor there. In the count of today, Chloe Smith got 13,591 votes as compared to the votes (6,243) of Mr. Ostrowski, which giving a swing of 16 % to Tories. April Pond (a candidate from Liberal Democrat) got 3rd position along with “Glen Tingle of Ukip” beating “Green Rupert Read” in 5th.
