The wife of Chris Spielman, Stefanie Spielman who battled against Breast cancer for 12 years, lost her battle yesterday. She died at the age of 42 on Thursday due to breast cancer. Chris Spielman is the former NFL player and a star of Ohio State. Her family was with her at the time of death in her family home at Upper Arlington.
Stefanie was a brave lady who fought with full determination against the dangerous and incurable disease. She was 32 year old when noticed a lump on her breast. She was pregnant also at that time in 1998. She underwent the examination and after checkup she declared suffering from cancer. She decided to miscarriage her baby.
Later on she decided to spread awareness of the breast cancer and did her best to do so. Her husband was also with her in that particular hard time. He supported his wife in real spirit. He dedicated his time for his wife and children. He left his career behind for his wife and children.
They started the campaign of providing information to the young ladies about the breast cancer. When Stefanie lost her hair during the treatment of cancer, he also shaved his head to make his wife stronger.
She participated actively in the breast cancer awareness sessions and helped the Research centre for Breast cancer in Ohio to raise more then $ 6 million for this Nobel cause.
She was well acknowledged by the related associations and organizations for her extensive work in providing awareness of breast cancer. They honored her with awards for the commitment to the awareness programs for breast cancer.
Her husband said, she left this world to meet the lord and we are happy but with pain. He also thanked the people who supported them thought out for this particular noble cause.
