This year’s Country Music Awards should be renamed as Taylor Swift Show. Not only Taylor Swift is the CMA Entertainer of the Year 2009, she is also a winner in four other categories. She has also got her name written in the history by becoming the youngest CMA Entertainer of the Year. Taylor Swift is also one of the very few solo females to have won the title of the Entertainer of the year. Shania Twain had won the title back in 1990.
Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley hosted the memorable night and did the job satisfactorily. Darius Rucker was also a highlight of the CMA awards. He bagged the award for best new talent. Rucker has previously been doing alternative music.
“I run to you” received the best single of the year. Lady Antebellum has sung the song; the group also remained victorious in the “Vocal Group of the Year” category.
Coming to the biggest star of the night Taylor Swift – she clean swept the biggest categories. Who else could have taken the trophy for CMA Album of The Year except for Taylor Swift? Her album Fearless stood victorious for the title. As she made the speech she referred to the Kanye West incident and said that she is thankful that nobody has come to snatch the trophy from her.
That was not the stop of her winnings. The video for the song “love Story” was voted to be the best music video of the year 2009 and if something has remained, Taylor Swift is best female vocalist of 2009 also just a big Wow at her achievements.
