Courtney Kupets is preparing for the senior season of gymnastics at Georgia and did not allow her torn Achilles muscle to stop her doing so. Kupets has returned back to the sport and no doubt she is a dominator in her field. She was the main player in Georgia’s team who led it to get the crown for the fifth NCAA in April.
She got the first title in beam, bars, floor completion and gave an all round performance as an individual. She has also won the Cup of Honda Broderick on Monday and has become the top female athlete of the nation. She got her award at the Columbia University. Kupets said, team sport can not be won by any single person individually and my wins are the great team efforts.
Renee Montgomery (basketball player for Connecticut), Nicole Fawcett (volleyball player for Penn State), Jennifer Barringer (track and field player for Colorado) and Danielle Lawrie (softball player for Washington) were also the finalist with Courtney Kupets.
Her left muscle of Achilles was broken in 2003 but she recovered quickly and took part in the Athens Olympics in 2004. She also has won a silver medal in Olympics in the team all around on the world level sports. In this Olympics she has won the bronze medal as an individual in the uneven bars.
Courtney Kupets has broken four time her ankles. She said, every time after got broken my ankle, I came back very strongly with new aims. Actually her elder sister Ashley gave her strength every time she got injured because her sister is also a gymnastic athlete and had many injuries.
