Coweta County Schools are under attack by unknown thieves. It has been reported that the Coweta County School Systems have been advised to be conscious and careful about their personal belongingness as several thefts were recorded in two days of the week in six schools.
It has been reported that Canongate Elementary School, White Oak Elementary School and Arnal Middle School were targeted by the unknown thieves on Wednesday and Popular Road Elementary School, Welch Elementary School and Newan Crossing Elementary School were targeted on Thursday last week.
The Public Information officer Dean Jackson has confirmed the news about the reported thefts on Friday. The officer told that six school has been reported where the teachers personal property or belongingness were missing on Wednesday and Thursday. He told that the incidents took place when the class rooms were empty.
He further told that the teachers reported that things like pocket books and others were missing and they believed to be stolen. This is quite confusing as it happened in different schools and on one day or the other.
The school administration has contacted the police as the superintendent of school Blake Bass has informed the Coweta County Sheriff’s officer and Newnan Police Department officially. The both agencies has started their investigations but still unable to find out the root cause.
Blake Bass has also communicated to the principals of all the schools through email to be careful.
He said we informed the schools accordingly to be careful and we will inform the employees upon reaching to the culprit.
