Eight years ago the age of Danny Almonte was a hot issue and now again it has become a debatable issue. Almonte started his career in 2007 in Altus from a very small community of the college and got popularity in very short time. In his first season his batting score was 485 in which 75 RBIs and 17 home runs were included.
Danny Almonte appeared in Little League World Series in 2001 at the age of 14 and still he is well known as a kid player. 12 years was the maximum age allowed to take part in this league but he participated at the age of 14. An investigation team was hired by one of the opponent team and truth came out to the world. His date of birth had been changed by his father on certificate. He had been cleared from the allegation as it was not his fault. His English was also not good at that time.
Now after eight years he is still facing the same age issue these days but his coach Kurt Russell is fully involved to shield him and has forbidden him to give any interview to any paper. Even baseball programs are also not that easy to talk about this issue of Almonte.
Dan Fitzgerald’s coach Des Moines is also very reluctant to discuss about Almonte’s issue. He said to be really very honest I only know about him that he is good left handed player. He is playing for a great club and tries to compete the opponent like everyone else.
