Darlie Routier

Darlie Routier was born in Rowlett, Texas on January 4th, 1970 is a killer of her own two son’s “Damon and Devon” although she was only convicted for killing one of them “Damon” her younger son but it is widely believed that she killed both of them. Darlie Routier stabbed her son to death on 6th June, 1996 in their family house. Investigators also found wounds on Darlie’s body but authorities said that those wounds were self-inflicted.

Prosecutors allege that she murdered her two sons to purge herself from economic burden. Darlie’s husband “Darin” is a small business owner but had earned relatively high annual income during the time. Darlie Routier a full-time homemaker mother of two was living in a lavish Georgian home in a wealthy neighborhood, she use to drive a Jaguar, and owned a boat worth $20,000.

When she saw that her lavished life style is about to end due to the bank taxes and credit card debt and that they may not be able to continue their lifestyle she out of desperation she killed her son’s. At that time when she killed her son’s they were under a large amount of debt and were recently denied by the bank for a loan of $5,000.

At first Darlie said that an impostor killed her son’s, but police became suspicious when they found contradiction between her story and crime scene proof. Darlie’s children were killed with deep, stabbing of knife wounds to their chest but the cut’s to Darlie’s neck and arm were shallow.

Darlie said that she ran barefoot towards her kitchen to call for help. The kitchen floor enclosed with broken glass, but Darlie had not sustained any injuries to her feet.

On the request of Darlie a Court granted to re-test blood evidence using more current DNA technology on the 18th of June, 2008.

Eventually Darlie was find guilty of killing “Damon” and was sentence to death by lethal injection.
