Road accidents are one of the major causes of death in North America. Government has taken innovative steps to bring the number down, yet the technology is yet to be developed to improve the situation considerably. One of the systems being tested is Sonic Nap Alert Pattern (SNAP) which produces a sound and vibration when tires skid off the road. It is not clear whether a system like SNAP was installed on the road on which the accident occurred.
