Darren Ray Woodson who was also considered as a backbone of Dallas Cowboys defense announced his retirement on December 2004. He was born on 25 April 1969 in Phoenix, Arizona. He is a former America football safety in National football league. He spent his thirteen year career playing in Dallas Cowboys from year 1992 to 2004.
His selection was based on the result of Annual player selection meeting of NFL in 1992 in which he shifted from Arizona state university to Dallas Cowboys Football club. Darren Woodson was also selected in Pro Bowl players for five times. He was also awarded with a name of “All-Pro” three times by AP (one of the American news agency) which is called the best player of specific position during the year. He was also a member of all the three Dallas Cowboys teams that are Super bowl champions of 1990s. Darren was also recognized as the most friendly and caring people when out of field.
Sports Illustrated one of the famous sports magazine of America also called him one of the hardest hitters in NFL. After remaining out from the 2004 seasons because of herniated disk, he announces his retirement officially.
He also worked as a football analyst for ESPN and come on programs like NFL Live and Sports center.
